It depends on what you like to read. I think it's a nice story. This book was a Booker Prize finalist and is beautifully written. It is staged in India's Old Delhi during the events that led to the separation of a muslim Pakistan. It portrays the life of a family as seen by one of the sisters who came back to her old family house for vacations. Rooms, sounds, people, and places bring her back memories of her life as a child which then lead to a moving end loaded with fraternal love and forgiveness.
