you can remove the battery cable off of it for a little while but if there's a problem with it,the light will come back on ,the proper way to turn the light off is with a scanner,this will turn it off for good unless there's another problem with the abs system on it,removing the battery cable may or may not work on it,good luck.96 ford ranger 2.3 std does anyone know how to clear abs light .?
You clear the light by fixing what is causing it to come on in the first place, then use a scanner to clear the code. Disconnecting the battery doesn't clear any codes on obd2 vehicles.
You have an ABS problem. Check your brake fluid level, tailights for burned bulb. Some systems will trigger an abs light if a bulb is out or brake fluid is low.
