What ornament colors should I use on a green pre-lit tree with clear lights?

I've had a white tree for the past couple of years, and I want to switch up this year and get a green tree. I also would like to get some lighted garland for my stairs, so what ever color I decorate my tree, the garland has to use the same color. Any suggestions are welcome.
