It does sound like what we would diagnose as an ophthalmic migraine. Sometimes these prisms of light will precede a headache and other times and more often won't. Generally, they may block out the vision in the periphery and move more centrally and then back out again. Usually will last 10 to 20 minutes. You may not have any other episodes, but if you do, try and keep track of when they occur...ie: time of month, or day, what you have eaten. Things like chocolate, cheese, nuts and wine can trigger these. Nothing to be alarmed about if the vision returned to normal, but again you may want to check with a dr. if they continue. Good luck.Had a clear crinkle object with a prism light effect moving in my eye ?
That could be an ';aura'; which is harmless but an early indicator that a migraine headache is coming. The first time I saw one I thought my wye was broken but the explanation was very calming.
