Using a CLEAR light bar while driving?

I've run across an old MX3000 light bar from my local police department. Apparently its illegal (of course) to run with red or blue lights. Amber lights are okay to have on. What if I wanted to drive with just the clear lights (no colored lens) on. Is that illegal? I want to do this so I can be more noticeable so I don't get cut off so much (if you believe that lol).Using a CLEAR light bar while driving?
I hope it is wanting a clear light bar on top of a car is about as idiotic as it gets. Half the cars on the road have put way to bright lights on them that blind on coming traffic. Just another stupid unsafe idea to make a car look like something it is not. THe funny thing is cars that come with the lights in them do not blind traffic.Using a CLEAR light bar while driving?
Amber lights are only ok at some times, and for specific purposes.

Flashing whites are as illegal as reds and blues.
Check with you local PD. In some places there is a limit on how many froward facing clear lights you can have and where they can be mounted. But other than that I don't see why it would be Illegal.
Better check with your police dept. Yellow lights are for some security police. Some lights are used for off roading. Before you get a ticket, better check.
